Shannon Cavarocchi, a photographer originally from Oahu, Hawaii, and now residing in Australia, was shortlisted for last year’s Global Open Call Women by Women. Her photography delves into human emotions and their bond with nature, drawing inspiration from her own life experiences. Cavarocchi sees photography as a means to explore her personal narrative, interpret reality, and foster community. Her project, Song of the Siren, examines the concept that healing is achieved through collective interaction rather than in isolation.
