Kelvin Perriman from Arrowtown was recently honored for his nearly 37 years of dedication to St John at a district awards event in Cromwell.
In the event, he was photographed receiving a certificate from Ann Shepherd, the chairwoman of the South Island trust board.
Perriman’s journey with St John began in Dunedin in 1989 as a volunteer ambulance officer, and he transitioned to a paid role in 1993. From 1999 to 2002, he held the position of district operations manager in Queenstown, where he actively pushed for the establishment of a new station. Later, he served as Queenstown’s area manager from 2012 for four years.
Currently, Perriman continues his work as a volunteer ambulance officer and also serves as an emergency management technician in Queenstown and Central Otago.
In addition to his role at St John, Perriman is highly regarded in his community and also contributes his time to the Arrowtown fire brigade.
