‘Star Wars’ actor Kenneth Colley, known for his role as Admiral Piett in the iconic movie franchise, has passed away at the age of 87.

Kenneth Colley, affectionately known as Ken, peacefully passed away at his home after battling COVID-19 and developing pneumonia, as confirmed by his agent, Julian Owen.

He will be remembered for his portrayal of Admiral Piett in “The Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi.”

Described as one of the finest actors with a career spanning six decades, Ken leaves behind a legacy of remarkable performances.

Following an arm injury sustained in a fall, Ken was hospitalized and subsequently contracted COVID-19.

He passed away at his residence in Ashford, Kent, surrounded by loved ones.

In addition to his work in the ‘Star Wars’ universe, Ken reprised his role as Admiral Piett in the animated film “Lego Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out” and was a familiar face at ‘Star Wars’ conventions worldwide.

Ken’s acting credits extend beyond ‘Star Wars,’ including appearances in Ken Russell‘s films, Clint Eastwood’s “Firefox,” and his memorable portrayal of Jesus in “Monty Python’s Life of Brian” in 1979.

Known for his love of gardening, art collection, and passion for fast cars, Ken led a fulfilling life outside of his acting career.
