A tragic incident unfolded in April 2025 at a track and field event, as reported by Radar. Anthony, attempting to escape the rain, allegedly sought shelter under a tent designated for Frisco Memorial High, the school attended by Metcalf. This led to a confrontation when Metcalf asked Anthony to leave.
According to reports, Anthony, who was 17 at the time, challenged Metcalf with the words, “Touch me, see what happens.” Metcalf is said to have either pushed or grabbed Anthony in response. Subsequently, Anthony allegedly retrieved a knife from his bag and stabbed Metcalf in the chest.
During opening statements, Collin County prosecutor Bill Wirskye informed jurors that Metcalf’s final words were, “I’ve been stabbed,” as he looked at his injury.
Bleeding, Metcalf stumbled down several rows of bleachers while his twin brother, Hunter, hurried to his aid.
