Miami is known for its iconic landmarks, but none quite compare to The Surf Club in Surfside. This social club has been a playground for the rich and famous since the 1930s, hosting legendary guests such as Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and even Winston Churchill. The British prime minister once said, “I want sun, solitude, serenity, and something to eat, perhaps something to drink,” as he painted the ocean from his cabana.

Today, The Surf Club is managed by the Four Seasons, maintaining its grandeur with nine acres of oceanfront property adorned with coconut palms. The restored lobby still exudes the same Mediterranean style, vaulted ceilings, and flora murals as the original. The property recently hosted Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda show, showcasing its timeless elegance. Additionally, Michelin-starred chefs Thomas Keller and Michael White each have their own signature restaurants on-site.

Moving down the coast to Mid-Beach, The Faena stands out with its bold red awnings, gold-leaf ceilings, and embrace of animal prints. This luxurious hotel exudes a dramatic and disorderly glamor that captures the essence of Miami’s vibrant atmosphere. The guest rooms feature Carrara marble bathrooms and private butlers, ensuring a comfortable stay. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at Los Fuegos, helmed by Michelin-starred chef Francis Mallman. The hotel also boasts an art glass-encased mammoth titled “Gone But Not Forgotten” by Damien Hirst, adding a touch of contemporary art to the lavish surroundings.

Another Mid-Beach gem is the Miami Beach Edition, known for its sleek and modern design. The hotel offers a luxurious experience with stylish accommodations and top-notch amenities. With a focus on luxury and sophistication, the Miami Beach Edition caters to discerning travelers looking for a refined stay in the heart of Miami.

In conclusion, Miami offers a diverse range of luxury hotels that cater to every taste and preference. Whether you prefer the historic charm of The Surf Club, the dramatic glamor of The Faena, or the modern elegance of the Miami Beach Edition, there’s a hotel in Miami that will exceed your expectations and make your stay unforgettable.
