Sexual Assault Allegations Dismissed

Malcolm Barrett will not be charged in connection with a sexual assault allegation reported last year, as confirmed by TMZ.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has reviewed the case and decided against filing rape charges involving a person unable to give consent. The matter is now formally closed.
TMZ initially reported in December that a woman accused Barrett of sexual assault, claiming she awoke in bed with him after a night of drinking and alleged that he had sexual intercourse with her without her consent.
According to our law enforcement sources, the woman stated that she had known Barrett for several months, and their evening began with drinks in Los Angeles before returning to his residence, where the alleged incident happened.
After reporting the incident, she underwent a sexual assault examination, which was then handled by the LASD Special Victims Bureau.
Prosecutors later indicated that the evidence did not substantiate any criminal charges, resulting in the closing of the case.
A representative for Barrett declined to comment.
