Tom Ellis recently opened up about his decision not to watch much of the show FBI before filming his new spinoff CIA. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the 47-year-old actor explained that he wanted to keep the two shows separate because they operate in very different ways. Ellis admitted that he watched a little bit of FBI before pausing, as he didn’t want to know too much about it. He emphasized the importance of the clash between the two agencies playing out better the less he knew about FBI.

While discussing the differences between CIA and FBI, Ellis highlighted that FBI deals with crimes that have already happened, whereas CIA focuses on preventing crimes from occurring in the first place. He described FBI as a public-facing arm of law enforcement, while CIA operates in the shadows and prefers to remain unseen. Ellis emphasized that the two shows complement each other rather than being direct spinoffs.

CIA, which premiered in April 2025 on CBS, follows the story of two unlikely partners – a fast-talking CIA case officer and a seasoned FBI agent who work together to investigate threats on U.S. soil. The show initially faced some changes in its production, including a showrunner change from David Hudgins to Warren Leight. Cast members such as Michael Michele and Eriq La Salle also departed the series, leading to additional adjustments.

Despite the challenges faced during production, Ellis expressed confidence in the final product of CIA. He teased that the show would be worth the wait for fans of FBI and the Dick Wolf world, as well as new viewers. Ellis mentioned that the show incorporates humor, making it appealing to a wide audience. CIA airs on CBS on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.

Overall, Tom Ellis’s insights into the making of CIA shed light on the complexities of creating a successful spinoff while maintaining the distinct identity of the original show. The show’s journey from initial production challenges to its eventual premiere showcases the dedication of the cast and crew in bringing this new series to life. Fans can look forward to an engaging and entertaining viewing experience with CIA. The Importance of Mental Health in Today’s Society

Mental health is a critical aspect of overall well-being that is often overlooked in today’s fast-paced society. With the increasing pressures and stressors of daily life, it is more important than ever to prioritize mental health and seek support when needed.

One of the key reasons why mental health is so important is because it directly impacts our physical health. Research has shown that individuals with mental health disorders are more likely to experience chronic physical conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. This is due to the fact that mental health issues can affect our immune system, metabolism, and overall functioning of the body. By taking care of our mental health, we are also taking care of our physical health.

Additionally, mental health plays a crucial role in our relationships and social interactions. When we are struggling with our mental health, it can be difficult to connect with others and maintain healthy relationships. This can lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness, which can further exacerbate mental health issues. By prioritizing our mental health, we can improve our relationships with others and foster a sense of belonging and connection.

Furthermore, mental health is essential for our productivity and performance in various areas of life. When we are struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety or depression, it can be challenging to focus, concentrate, and perform at our best. This can impact our work, school, and daily responsibilities. By addressing our mental health and seeking support when needed, we can improve our ability to function effectively in all aspects of life.

In today’s society, there is still a stigma surrounding mental health, which can prevent individuals from seeking help and support. However, it is important to recognize that mental health is just as important as physical health and should be treated with the same level of care and attention. There are various resources available for those struggling with mental health issues, including therapy, support groups, and medication. By taking the first step to prioritize our mental health, we can improve our overall well-being and lead a happier, more fulfilling life.

In conclusion, mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being that should not be overlooked in today’s society. By prioritizing mental health, we can improve our physical health, relationships, productivity, and quality of life. It is important to break the stigma surrounding mental health and encourage individuals to seek support when needed. Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health.
