Police in Christchurch, New Zealand, made a significant discovery when they located a stolen courier van filled with Christmas packages. The van had been reported missing on Friday, but thanks to reports of three suspicious individuals carrying courier packages in Birdlings Flat, 44km south of the city, officers were able to track down the vehicle.
With the help of a local farmer, the police were able to locate and arrest the three men in question. They have since been charged with theft and unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and are scheduled to appear in the Christchurch District Court in the near future.
Fortunately, the majority of the stolen packages were recovered and returned to the courier company, bringing relief to both the company and the recipients awaiting their Christmas deliveries.
