Trump Supporters Forced to Find Creative Solutions for Restroom Needs at MSG Rally
Attendees of Sunday’s rally at Madison Square Garden were left in a difficult situation when they found no portable toilets available, forcing them to come up with creative ways to relieve themselves. Some speculated that the lack of facilities was intentional, aimed at inconveniencing the MAGA crowd.
Over 2,000 supporters camped out at MSG overnight, with some waiting up to 48 hours before doors opened on Sunday morning. By 10 a.m., the crowd had swelled to over 10,000 people, all without access to any restrooms.
Dorothea Ohlandt, who had traveled from North Carolina, described the situation, saying they had to use bags, cups, and even set up a makeshift privacy shower. She pointed out the lack of basic accommodations in comparison to other Trump rallies she had attended across the country.
Despite requests to leave for bathroom breaks, attendees were informed they wouldn’t be allowed back in line, leading to desperate measures like using bottles for urination. The overall sentiment was frustration at the lack of porta potties, with some likening the situation to that of a third-world country.
As the event neared, it became apparent that leaving the secure area for restroom breaks was not an option, leaving many feeling disregarded and disrespected. The lack of provisions for such a large crowd was seen as a deliberate snub to Trump supporters by some attendees.
City officials did not immediately address the issue, with NYPD Chief of Patrol John Chell downplaying the concerns by stating that life in the city isn’t easy and that they were well-prepared for the event.
Despite the challenges, supporters like Kimberly Vayda and her daughter remained determined to tough it out until the doors opened for the rally. As the day progressed, anticipation grew for Trump’s appearance, with a lineup of notable guests expected to speak alongside him.
Trump’s promise to secure victory in New York, a historically Democratic stronghold, added to the excitement of the event, with attendees eager to show their support for the former president.
