President Trump is set to deploy federal law enforcement on the streets of Washington, DC to address the escalating violence caused by roaming gangs of “youths,” the White House has confirmed.

The decision to increase federal enforcement in the capital comes after a former Department of Government Efficiency staffer, Edward Coristine, also known as “Big Balls,” was attacked by a group of teenagers while trying to prevent a carjacking near Dupont Circle. The incident left Coristine bloodied and injured, prompting the administration to take action.

National Guard vehicles have been seen outside the DC armory in preparation for the deployment of additional law enforcement personnel. The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security are also gearing up to assist in the crackdown on youth violence and crime in the city.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt emphasized the importance of making Washington, DC safer for its residents, lawmakers, and visitors. President Trump’s executive order, “Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful,” signed in March, laid the groundwork for a task force dedicated to combating crime and reducing illegal immigration in the city.

The task force is expected to work closely with the Metropolitan Police Department to recruit and retain officers, collaborate with local entities to address fare evasion on the metro, and deploy more officers in high-crime areas. Mayor Muriel Bowser has implemented curfews for individuals under 18 in an effort to curb youth crime.

Despite these measures, Trump has expressed frustration over the lack of progress and threatened to federalize DC if crime is not brought under control. The president called for charging minors as adults for violent crimes starting at age 14 and advocated for harsher penalties to deter criminal behavior.

The deployment of federal law enforcement in Washington, DC is a proactive step towards addressing the rising violence and ensuring the safety of residents and visitors. By cracking down on youth crime and gang activity, the administration aims to create a more secure and beautiful capital city for all.
