Karoline Leavitt has warmed hearts by unveiling the first look at her newborn daughter and disclosing her charming name just six days after the birth, RadarOnline.com reports.

The 28-year-old White House press secretary was seen cradling her baby, Vivi, the second child with her husband Nicholas Riccio, 60, while posing in their daughter’s pink-themed nursery, expressing her gratitude with “God is good.”

“On May 1st, Viviana, affectionately known as ‘Vivi,’ became part of our family, filling our hearts with immense love. She is healthy and perfect, and her big brother is happily adapting to having a new baby sister,” Leavitt shared in the caption of her May 7 Instagram post, referring to her 21-month-old son Nicholas “Niko” Robert Riccio.

She noted that she and her husband are “relishing every moment in our blissful newborn bubble” and extended her appreciation to “everyone who reached out with prayers during my pregnancy – I truly felt them throughout the entire experience. God is Good.”

Leavitt was dressed in a cotton-candy-pink knit cardigan and pale pink lounge pants, exuding the glow of new motherhood.

Vivi’s nursery reflects an upbringing infused with luxury and political influences from the start.

A pink-and-cream Hermès blanket from the brand’s renowned Avalon line adorned a white chair opposite the crib, which featured a floral vintage-style coverlet.

Pink ruffle drapes ensured a dim environment for the baby’s restful sleep, while various shelves revealed hints of her future.

An alphabet book titled Washington, DC ABCs, along with another children’s board book featuring “Washington, DC” on the cover, suggested Vivi’s early exposure to the nation’s capital. A second shelf displayed a framed photo of Leavitt and her husband from their wedding on January 4, 2025.

A children’s book titled Her First Bible was placed on the bottom shelf, accompanied by a glossy blue bunny figurine. Additionally, Vivi will learn the alphabet through her stylish mother, with a book titled Handbags A to Z.

Leavitt embarked on a romantic relationship with the affluent real estate mogul, who is 32 years her senior, after meeting through a mutual friend in 2022.

Their relationship quickly progressed, leading to an engagement the following year and the birth of their son Niko in July 2024.

Leavitt later praised her husband’s steadfast support, attributing it to her rapid ascent in politics as the youngest White House press secretary in history.

“He’s built a very successful business himself, so now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career,” she expressed in March 2025.

As an essential figure for Donald Trump, known for her vigorous exchanges with the White House press corps, the president decided against relying on a single replacement during her maternity leave.

Vice President JD Vance and other top cabinet members will conduct briefings in her absence.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also serves as acting National Security Adviser and acting Administrator of USAID, led press conference duties on May 5, concentrating on foreign policy.
