A small aircraft has collided with a residence in Pauanui, located on the Coromandel Peninsula, during the Christmas holiday season.
According to the authorities, the incident occurred at 9:10 am when the plane crashed into an empty house in Harvard Court, adjacent to Pauanui Airfield.
A spokesperson from Hato Hone St John mentioned that one ambulance was dispatched to the site, where two individuals were treated.
One person sustained moderate injuries while the other had minor injuries. Both individuals were transported to Thames Hospital for further medical attention.
The Fire and Emergency NZ shift manager, Lauren Sika, confirmed that all individuals involved in the incident have been safely located and accounted for.
