Rosie O’Donnell Calls for Presidential Election Recount
On Monday, comedian Rosie O’Donnell took to Instagram with a bold demand for a recount of the 2024 presidential election results. This call to action follows a repost of a claim made by social media commentator Joe Braxton, who alleged that Elon Musk orchestrated a theft of the election from Kamala Harris, resulting in a significant victory for Donald Trump.
“We Demand A Recount!” the original post from Braxton exclaimed, which O’Donnell prominently featured in her Instagram Story.
Braxton further asserted, “Elon hacked and stole the election, then created a department where he could spend months deleting the evidence and firing the workers that could find out.” He expressed disbelief, stating, “There’s seriously no way he won 7 swing states.”
This is not O’Donnell’s first foray into questioning the legitimacy of Trump’s electoral victory. In a March interview with Irish television, she called for an investigation into alleged irregularities in the election process.
“I question why, for the first time in American history, a president has won every swing state, and is also best friends with his largest donor, a man who owns and runs the Internet,” she lamented. “I would hope that this would be investigated, to see if it was an anomaly or something more sinister that transpired on election night, especially when Kamala Harris was rallying crowds while Trump struggled to draw supporters.”

“It’s curious to me, and as an American who believes in democracy, I would hope we could investigate all the reasons behind this outcome,” O’Donnell added.
After Trump’s second inauguration, O’Donnell announced her intention to relocate to Ireland, a decision influenced by her eligibility for citizenship through her ancestors. “I never envisioned moving to another country, but after careful consideration, I believe this is what’s best for myself and my 12-year-old child,” she shared in a TikTok video.
