Last Thursday, a federal grand jury brought forth charges against James, including Bank Fraud as per 18 U.S.C. Section 1344 and False Statements to a Financial Institution under 18 U.S.C. Section 1014.
Schumer has leaned heavily on the Democratic narrative that claims former President Trump is weaponizing judicial processes, even asserting that Trump dismissed U.S. Attorney Erik Seibert for his reluctance to pursue wrongdoing involving James.
