Tonight, President Trump will be entertaining an elite group in the White House East Room, a gathering purposed to rally support for an ambitious new addition: a White House Ballroom.
As previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, Trump’s aspirations for this $200 million venture are no secret. He insists that the new ballroom is not just a whim but a long-overdue addition, stating, “For over 150 years, they’ve wanted a ballroom, but no President has managed it. I’m great at building things. You’ll see—it’ll happen quickly and efficiently.”
In pursuit of this vision, Trump is not only footing the bill; he is also actively courting donors to join him in realizing his plan.
According to a recent press release from the White House, construction is set to kick off in September 2025, with expectations of completion well within President Trump’s current term.
This initiative follows a series of renovations Trump has made to the Executive Mansion, which include updates to the Oval Office, enhancements to the Rose Garden, and the installation of two towering flagpoles standing nearly 100 feet tall on the North and South Lawns.
As reported by Bloomberg:
President Donald Trump is preparing to host a notable assembly of billionaires and corporate titans, featuring figures like Steve Schwarzman of Blackstone Inc., Harold Hamm from Continental Resources Inc., and crypto magnates Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, purely to galvanize support for this forthcoming ballroom initiative.
Initial reports from The Wall Street Journal highlighted details regarding the event and prospective benefactors.
The ballroom’s price tag of $200 million has raised eyebrows, yet Trump is resolute in his desire for a grand space to host significant events at the White House. In September, he publicly committed to financing the construction alongside donors, particularly in light of the scrutiny directed at the expense of various governmental projects, especially the renovations of the Federal Reserve building.
The dinner is slated to begin at 7:30 PM ET.
