Prominently, Tucker Carlson has emerged as a vocal opponent of the potential conflict, drawing parallels to the Iraq War under George W. Regarding Iran, it should come as no surprise that the President believes Iran absolutely cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. This has been a long-standing position of his for decades, not just as president or a candidate, but also as a private citizen. For instance, in 2011, he stated, “America’s primary goal with Iran must be to destroy its nuclear ambitions. We cannot allow this radical regime to acquire a nuclear weapon that they will either use or hand off to terrorists.” In 2015, he remarked, “The problem is that Iran poses an existential threat to Israel, our Middle Eastern allies, and the United States.” This consistent message underscores his opposition to the Iranian nuclear agreement spearheaded by President Obama. He has made considerable efforts toward achieving a diplomatic resolution but has warned that if Iran did not engage within the specified 60-day window, action would be taken, leading to Israel’s response on day 61. As I mentioned, the President will announce his decision within two weeks.
