Casey Anthony Breaks Silence in Recent Interviews
In the first-ever interview with the Associated Press back in 2017, Casey Anthony insisted that she did not kill her daughter, Caylee. She expressed uncertainty about what exactly happened, acknowledging the public’s negative perception of her based on media coverage.
Recently, Casey opened up again in Peacock’s 2022 documentary series, recalling the last moments she shared with Caylee. She described a heartbreaking scene where her father, George, handed her a soaking wet Caylee and blamed her for the tragedy.
During Casey’s trial, her defense attorney, Jose Baez, suggested a theory that Caylee accidentally drowned in the family pool and George covered it up. However, George denied any involvement in his granddaughter’s death, stating that he would have done everything to save her if he had known what happened.
Despite speculation and theories, authorities never suspected George in connection with Caylee’s death. George and his wife, Cindy, appeared on a true crime reality show on A&E in January 2024, where they underwent lie detector tests while recounting the tragic events surrounding Caylee’s passing.
