Moncler CEO Remo Ruffini has big plans for the brand’s expansion in the US market. With a focus on opening 30 to 35 stores across the country, Ruffini believes that a retail chain is crucial in today’s retail climate. He emphasizes the importance of staying connected to customers and improving clienteling approaches, noting that Moncler never discounts its products due to their timeless nature.

Despite the unpredictable nature of the US market, Ruffini remains confident in Moncler’s position. He ensures that the brand’s prices align with the quality of its products, avoiding drastic price increases. Ruffini also highlights Austin as a city where Moncler sees potential for growth.

On a global scale, Moncler’s Grenoble line is making waves in the ski industry. With skiwear becoming increasingly popular among luxury clients, Moncler is at the forefront of creating technical yet stylish gear for the slopes. The latest collection features innovative materials like performance denim, as well as tweed, jacquard, and floral embroidery. Skier Lucas Bratton tested the collection for the upcoming Winter Olympics, providing valuable feedback for further improvements.

The Grenoble store offers a wide range of performance pieces, accessories, boots, and cable knit sweaters, catering to all the needs of ski enthusiasts. The store’s design, set in a redesigned bank with a centerpiece made of real cedar trees, has garnered praise from locals and clients alike.

Looking ahead, Ruffini is considering new locations for Moncler’s annual ski show, with Japanese ski town Naseko being a potential destination. He also has his eyes set on China, Canada, and Finland, markets that are rapidly growing alongside the US market.

As Ruffini prepares to transition to the role of executive chairman, he reflects on the success of the Grenoble experience over the past three years. Despite a recent injury preventing him from hitting the slopes during a recent ski outing, Ruffini remains committed to upholding Moncler’s standards of quality and luxury. With Bartolomeo Rangone set to take over as group CEO, Ruffini’s legacy of excellence is sure to continue.

Overall, Moncler’s focus on providing top-notch skiwear and luxury experiences for its customers sets it apart in the competitive fashion industry. With a strong emphasis on quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction, Moncler is poised for continued success in the global market.
