A tragic incident occurred in Florida where a homeless woman was found dead in a clothing donation box after getting stuck while trying to retrieve donated items, according to Plantation Police Department.
The police officers responded to a call at 6:45 a.m. reporting a person stuck in a large, pink donation box used for clothing and shoe donations.
The woman, who remains unidentified, was discovered partially stuck in the box and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe the incident was accidental, but a full investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
According to WSVN, the victim appeared to be a middle-aged homeless woman trying to access donated clothing or shoes from the box.
Photos show the donation box being loaded onto a truck and removed from the location where the tragic incident occurred.

The donation box was located near a Fort Lauderdale day care, where parents were shocked to learn of the tragic discovery.
One parent expressed their shock, stating, “I was wondering if something happened, if a pipe burst or something. I didn’t expect to hear a body.”
The victim’s identity will not be disclosed until her next of kin has been notified by the authorities.
