Worldpay And Bullish Join Midnight Alliance Ahead Of Mainnet Launch

Blockchain network firm Midnight Foundation announced on Tuesday that global payments giant Worldpay and crypto exchange Bullish have joined its alliance of federated node operators. This news comes as the privacy-focused blockchain, developed by the engineering team behind Cardano, gears up for its Kūkolu mainnet launch scheduled for the final week of March.

With the addition of Worldpay and Bullish, the total number of operators in the alliance now stands at ten. These new members join a prestigious roster that includes Google Cloud, MoneyGram, eToro, Blockdaemon, and Vodafone’s Pairpoint venture.

Midnight Foundation’s federated model is designed to provide operational stability during the early launch phase. Through partnerships with industry leaders, the network aims to meet the uptime and security requirements of regulated industries.

Chris Tyrer, President of Bullish Exchange, emphasized the importance of Midnight’s zero-knowledge architecture in maintaining confidentiality while adhering to verification standards in the digital asset market. Bullish plans to integrate Midnight’s privacy layer to provide cryptographic verification of solvency without compromising sensitive data.

Bullish will leverage its expertise in institutional-grade liquidity and exchange infrastructure to support the network’s early validator set. Worldpay, on the other hand, will focus on exploring how Midnight’s privacy features can be integrated into merchant transactions.

The upcoming March mainnet launch signifies the beginning of the Kūkolu phase, during which the network will operate under explicit rules for participation and coordination among the ten partners. Full decentralization is expected to be achieved by the third quarter of 2026.

This collaboration between Midnight Foundation, Worldpay, and Bullish highlights the growing importance of privacy-focused blockchain solutions in the digital payments and asset verification sectors. As the network continues to evolve and expand, it is poised to revolutionize the way transactions are conducted in regulated industries.
