Apple has officially announced the dates for its highly anticipated software event, WWDC 2025, where iOS 19 is set to make its debut. The Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is an annual event that showcases Apple’s upcoming software releases and sometimes includes exciting hardware launches. The press release from Apple reveals that WWDC 2025 will be taking place from June 9 to June 13, with an in-person keynote address scheduled to be held at Apple Park HQ on June 9 at 10am PT or 6pm BST. The keynote will be livestreamed on Apple’s YouTube channel for all to watch.

Apple has stated that WWDC 2025 will shine a spotlight on the latest advancements in Apple software. While WWDC is primarily aimed at developers, Apple emphasizes that the event will provide developers with the tools and technologies necessary to innovate and create. Attendees can expect video sessions to assist them in their development process, as well as the opportunity to connect with Apple engineers and designers in online labs. Additionally, Apple is hosting a Swift Student Challenge, where 50 winning applicants will be invited to Cupertino, California, for an exclusive three-day experience.

As for what to expect from WWDC 2025 in terms of consumer-facing updates, there are several exciting developments on the horizon. iOS 19 is set to be the highlight of the event, with a significant design overhaul expected to coincide with the release of the iPhone 17 later this year. This redesign will likely extend to iPadOS 19 and watchOS 12 as well. Apple fans may finally get to experience the AI-enhanced Siri that has been teased since before the launch of the iPhone 16.

In addition to iOS updates, MacOS 16 is expected to be featured at WWDC 2025, possibly alongside the unveiling of new Mac hardware. There’s speculation that a new M4 Ultra-powered Mac Pro could be on the horizon, giving Mac users something to look forward to.

Overall, WWDC 2025 promises to be an event filled with exciting announcements and advancements in Apple’s software and hardware offerings. Developers and consumers alike can look forward to learning more about the latest innovations from Apple during the event.
