Zoey Stark, the WWE veteran, recently provided an update on social media regarding her injury ahead of tonight’s episode of WWE RAW. Last month, Stark suffered a major injury during her Money in the Bank qualifying match on the red brand.
During the May 19 edition of WWE RAW, Rhea Ripley emerged victorious in a Triple Threat Money in the Bank qualifying match against Zoey Stark and Kairi Sane. It was during this match that Stark attempted a springboard Dropkick but unfortunately landed incorrectly, resulting in a significant injury.
Taking to Instagram, Stark shared a video before undergoing surgery for her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. The surgery lasted for over three hours, and she hinted at providing another update on Monday, June 16. This date coincides with the next episode of RAW, suggesting that fans should stay tuned for further updates.
Stark, who was previously a member of the Pure Fusion Collective faction on WWE RAW alongside Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville, is now undergoing recovery post-surgery. It is worth noting that Deville and Baszler are no longer with the company as their contracts were not renewed.
In light of Zoey Stark’s injury, former WWE writer Vince Russo pointed out a concerning trend within the women’s division. Russo highlighted the unfortunate string of injuries suffered by female wrestlers in recent times and suggested that a change in their in-ring style might be necessary to prevent further injuries.
As Stark continues her recovery journey, fans are eagerly awaiting her return to action. Only time will tell when the talented wrestler will be cleared to step back into the ring following her injury on WWE RAW.
The wrestling community is undoubtedly rooting for Zoey Stark’s speedy recovery and eventual return to the squared circle. Stay tuned for more updates on her progress as she works towards getting back to doing what she loves best.
