Christopher Buehler (Chicago Police Department, Multiplottr)

A Serial Offender’s Criminal History

A notorious criminal with a history of felony convictions, Christopher “Lucky D” Buehler, 43, added to his lengthy rap sheet by pleading guilty to six robberies and burglaries on Chicago’s Northwest Side in late 2023. This brought his total felony convictions to a staggering 12, as he was already on parole for felony retail theft at the time of his latest offenses.

Multiple Arrests Lead to Guilty Pleas

Buehler’s criminal activities caught the attention of law enforcement when Chicago police officers spotted him carrying a crowbar in Portage Park on December 29, 2023. Known for his history of burglaries, Buehler was observed stealing power tools from a garage in the area. Despite attempting to flee, he was apprehended by the police and subsequently confessed to his involvement in seven armed robberies.

A Spree of Robberies

The series of robberies began with a mugging on December 1, 2023, followed by targeted attacks on various establishments, including EaThai restaurant, Dunkin, Lexi Liquors, and Halal Inn. Buehler’s criminal spree came to an end when he was finally taken into custody by law enforcement.

Sentencing and Future Release

As a result of his guilty pleas, Buehler was handed six concurrent 9-year sentences by Judge Timothy Joyce. With credit for time served and the state’s standard sentence reduction, he is expected to be eligible for parole in early 2028.

A Notorious Criminal

Buehler’s criminal history is marked by a series of convictions, including solicitation of residential burglary, possession of stolen vehicles, and multiple burglary charges dating back to 2004. Despite repeated incarcerations, he has continued to engage in criminal activities, leading to his latest convictions in 2023.
