The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the arrest of a San Antonio man following a shocking shooting incident at the Lucky Eagle Casino in Eagle Pass, Texas. This tragic event has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to several others.

According to reports from KSAT, 34-year-old Keryan Jones faces serious charges, including two counts of capital murder alongside multiple counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Eyewitness accounts describe how chaos erupted at the casino before Jones fled the scene, instigating a significant law enforcement response.

An Eagle Pass Police spokesperson disclosed that officers successfully apprehended Jones using a “precision immobilization technique,” effectively bringing his vehicle to a halt during the pursuit.

According to News 4 San Antonio:

Two people are deceased, one of whom was a retired CBP agent, with numerous others injured following the shooting at the Lucky Eagle Casino on the Kickapoo reservation over the weekend.

Keryan Jones has been apprehended and is facing two counts of Capital Murder, in addition to five counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The investigation into the shooting will primarily be handled by the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe Police Department, as confirmed by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Office.

A casino employee indicated that operations at the facility will be suspended until further notice.

The incident has raised questions about security measures at such venues, reminding us how vital safety is in public spaces.
