Press briefing setup at the White House featuring a monitor displaying a tweet from Donald Trump alongside two men, with cameras and equipment in the foreground.

This afternoon, the White House press office conducted what can only be described as a masterclass in trolling, gleefully showcasing a Sombrero meme that President Trump had previously tweeted featuring House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

As covered by The Gateway Pundit earlier, Trump recently shared various memes depicting Jeffries with a cartoonish mustache and donning a Sombrero after a meeting with Schumer and the Democrats at the White House. The aim? To lampoon the Democratic Party’s fixation on illegal immigration, which Trump alleges is tantamount to a voter replacement strategy.

In response, Jeffries and his allies in the media labeled Trump’s antics as racist, prompting the White House to broadcast the meme during the press briefing.

As observed by OANN correspondent Daniel Baldwin on X:

Not only did the press office unleash that meme, but they also subjected the liberal media to a continuous reel of radical Democrats from when they controlled the Senate, passionately denouncing government shutdowns—hypocrisy incarnate, considering the government is currently shut down to preserve taxpayer-funded healthcare for undocumented immigrants.

“This is humorous. Before the 1 PM briefing, @WhiteHouse made the liberal press listen to their preferred politicians lament government shutdowns, just hours after they initiated one themselves.” pic.twitter.com/Nwz6KQLPFb

During the earlier briefing, Vice President JD Vance also weighed in on the meme controversy, chastising Jeffries for what he called yet another manufactured racial outrage.

“Is he a Mexican?” Vance quipped, suggesting that the only way to stop the Sombrero memes is for Democrats to assist in reopening the government.
