Megyn Kelly Defends Officer Who Shot Renee Nicole Good

Former news anchor Megyn Kelly is facing backlash after defending the actions of an officer who shot Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother, during an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Kelly shared video footage of the incident on Friday, stating, “You can literally hear the alarm in the officer’s exclamation as he’s hit [by Good’s vehicle.] There is nothing left to debate here.”

Claire Lehmann, founder of the anti-woke publication Quillette, expressed her opinion on the incident, commenting, “She didn’t deserve to be shot in the face.”

Kelly responded directly to Lehmann, stating, “Yes, she did. She hit and almost ran over a cop.”

The incident occurred when an ICE agent attempted to open Good’s SUV door, and she appeared to put the vehicle in reverse. The officer then fired his weapon, striking Good.

Video footage recorded on a bystander’s phone captured Good telling the agent just before the shooting, “I’m not mad at you,” while another woman, believed to be Good’s wife Rebecca, urged the masked agent to “show your face.”

The incident has sparked debate and controversy, with some defending the officer’s actions as necessary for self-defense, while others criticize the use of lethal force in the situation.

As the investigation into the shooting continues, Kelly’s outspoken defense of the officer has reignited discussions about police use of force and the complexities of law enforcement encounters.

Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as more information becomes available.
