An-Li Bogan Joins Cast of NBC Drama Pilot Inspired by Real-Life Profiler
An-Li Bogan has been tapped to star in the upcoming NBC drama pilot, joining lead actress Emily Deschanel in a project created by Dean Georgaris and John Fox. The untitled pilot is based on the work of Dr. Ann Burgess, a renowned expert profiler and author known for her groundbreaking approach to solving criminal cases.
Deschanel will portray Professor Georgia Ryan, a psychologist who revolutionizes the field of criminology by focusing on the victim rather than just the perpetrator. With her team, she collaborates with the FBI to unravel complex and elusive cases by uncovering crucial clues often overlooked by traditional investigative methods.
Bogan’s character, Natalie Washington, possesses a rare condition called hyperthymesia, which allows her to recall every detail of her life with perfect clarity. This extraordinary ability makes her an invaluable asset in solving cases, as she can instantly remember forgotten details and recognize patterns others may miss.
Bogan, known for her roles in films like “The American Society of Magical Negroes” and TV shows like “Bull” and “Elementary,” brings a wealth of experience to the project. She is represented by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
The pilot is written and executive produced by Georgaris and Fox, with John Davis serving as executive producer through Davis Entertainment. Deschanel will also produce in addition to her starring role. Dr. Ann Burgess and Steve Constantine are consulting producers on the project. Universal Television will handle production.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new drama pilot as it continues to develop.
