Taylor Frankie Paul‘s recent domestic altercation has reportedly led to a production halt on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. However, The Bachelorette season 22 is expected to proceed as scheduled.
According to Variety, despite Taylor’s alleged involvement in a domestic violence incident with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Dakota Mortensen earlier this month, the investigation will not interfere with The Bachelorette‘s release schedule or promotional activities. On March 16, the publication reported that the showâs timeline remains unchanged.
Currently, Taylor, 31, is in New York City to promote the ABC dating series. She is also scheduled to attend a premiere event in Los Angeles this weekend, leading up to the show’s network premiere on Sunday, March 22.
Us Weekly has reached out to ABC for additional comments.
On Monday, news emerged that the production of Huluâs The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stopped following an alleged domestic dispute between Taylor and Dakota, 33, during the filming of season 5.
A spokesperson from the Draper City Police Department in Utah confirmed to Us that a “domestic assault investigation” involving the pair is currently underway. The police noted that “allegations have been made in both directions” and confirmed that contact was made with the involved parties on February 24th and 25th.
Taylor, a founding member of the SLOMW cast, has felt the impact of the controversy within the group. A source told Us that the Mormon Wives cast is currently apprehensive about filming with her, citing her as a significant risk. Production is currently halted, and the cast has expressed their reluctance to work with her.
Before these events, Taylor’s SLOMW co-star Mayci Neeley noted that Taylor seemed to be in a more positive state of mind while filming season 22 of The Bachelorette outside of Utah.
Mikayla Matthews shared with Us on March 2 that this experience allowed Taylor to step away from her turbulent relationship with Dakota and reflect on her needs and desires. âIâm excited to watch The Bachelorette back, because I donât know [what happened],â Mikayla stated.
While Taylor seemed to be in a positive space while filming the ABC series, which was completed before her return to SLOMW, her suitors now find themselves in a difficult position as her drama with Dakota becomes public.
A source told Us on Tuesday that the men on The Bachelorette have been supporting each other in solidarity, feeling deeply disappointed and let down by the situation involving Taylor.
Before her reality TV debut, Taylor was in the spotlight for being part of a Mormon swinging scandal with her then-husband Tate Paul. The former couple, who share daughter Indy May, 8, and son Ocean, 5, divorced in 2022. Taylor has since been in a volatile relationship with Dakota, and they share a son, Ever, 23 months.
The Bachelorette premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET.
