Australian actress Ruby Rose recently made a series of dramatic claims on Threads, alleging that Katy Perry sexually assaulted her at a Melbourne nightclub almost 20 years ago, during a time when Rose was in her early 20s and known for her role in Around the Block.
Rose recounted the incident, stating, “She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting v—– on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.” Rose mentioned that she initially shared the story as a humorous account because she was unsure how to address it. She added, “Later, she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn’t a good person. Instead, I got attacked by… everyone.”
Following these allegations, Rose filed a police report, leading detectives from the Melbourne Sexual Offenses and Child Abuse Investigation Team to investigate the “historical sexual assault” that allegedly took place “at a licensed premises in Melbourne’s Central Business District.”
In response, a representative for Katy Perry issued a statement to an outlet on April 13, firmly denying the allegations. “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies,” the spokesperson stated. They further commented on Rose’s history of making serious allegations on social media against various individuals, noting that these claims have often been denied by those involved.
