Disney has unveiled a teaser for “Camp Rock 3,” marking the revival of the series that played a significant role in launching the careers of the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato.
Set to premiere on August 13 on Disney Channel and the following day on Disney+, the film brings together the Jonas Brothers and Lovato as executive producers. The brothers return to their iconic roles, joined by a new ensemble of Disney stars such as Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, and Ava Jean. Sherry Cola joins the cast, and Maria Canals-Barrera reprises her role as Connie, Mitchie’s (Lovato) mother.
“Camp Rock 3” is set before a major reunion tour for Connect 3, the band consisting of Shane Gray (Joe Jonas), Nate Gray (Nick Jonas), and Jason Gray (Kevin Jonas). According to the official description, when the Gray brothers lose their opening act, they return to Camp Rock to find the next big thing. As campers compete for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions mount, friendships are challenged, and unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances unfold.
In conjunction with the teaser, Disney also released the film’s first single, “One Beat Away,” which is now available for streaming.
“Camp Rock 3” is directed by Veronica Rodriguez and written by Eydie Faye. The film is produced by Disney Kids & Family and features choreography by Jamal Sims. Alongside Lovato and the Jonas Brothers, executive producers Tim Federle, Betsy Sullenger, Spencer Berman, and Gary Marsh are also involved.
