A new installment in the “Cheetah Girls” movie series is underway.
Raven-Symoné, a star of the franchise, revealed the news on her official Instagram account on Wednesday. She hinted that she was already on set for the project, which is tentatively titled “The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen.”
In the original “Cheetah Girls” movie, Symoné appeared alongside Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan. The cast also included Lynn Whitfield and Lori Alter.
The “Cheetah Girls” films are adaptations of Deborah Gregory’s book series. The first movie debuted as a Disney Channel Original Movie in 2003 and was met with significant acclaim, leading to two sequels, “The Cheetah Girls 2” and “The Cheetah Girls: One World.” The series also produced a successful soundtrack, and the main cast performed and recorded as The Cheetah Girls until 2008.
