Kieran Culkin, known for his role as Roman Roy in “Succession,” is set to voice Satan in a new Halloween-themed special of “Family Guy,” which will be available exclusively on Hulu later this year.
The announcement of Culkin’s casting was made during the “Family Guy” panel at San Diego Comic-Con. It was revealed that the show will have both a Halloween and a holiday special, debuting this fall on Hulu and Disney+ in several international markets.
The Halloween episode, titled “Happy Hell-o-ween,” centers on characters Brian and Stewie, who find themselves in hell, paying for 24 seasons of mischief. Their antics even manage to exasperate the Devil, leading to them taking charge.
The holiday special, “The Peter Clause,” features Christmas in Quahog, where Peter and his friends vie to become the town’s Santa. After losing, Peter faces the choice of handling his defeat maturely or delivering an unforgettable “Family Guy” episode. Unsurprisingly, he opts for the latter.
Information about these specials was shared by executive producer and showrunner Rich Appel, who also unveiled Culkin’s portrayal of the Devil. On stage alongside him were “Family Guy” actors Alex Borstein (Lois), Arif Zahir (Cleveland), Jennifer Tilly (Bonnie), and co-executive producer/supervising director Peter Shin.
“Family Guy” will reach its 25th season upon returning to Fox in early 2027. The series is available for streaming the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ in the United States. Produced by 20th Television Animation, the show is created and executive produced by Seth MacFarlane. Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin serve as executive producers and showrunners, while Steve Callaghan, Danny Smith, Kara Vallow, Mark Hentemann, Patrick Meighan, and Alex Carter are among the executive producers.
