Hope Walz, Daughter of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Reveals Litmus Test for Guys
Hope Walz, the 23-year-old daughter of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, shared a unique litmus test that she and her friends use when evaluating guys they are talking to.
According to Hope, the litmus test involves checking if the person follows podcaster, comedian, and UFC commentator Joe Rogan on Instagram. She mentioned that if a guy follows Joe Rogan, they are likely to be cut off from further communication, leading to some disappointment and heartbreak among her circle.
Expressing her disapproval of Joe Rogan, Hope stated, “I don’t know how you have the largest podcast in the world and are able to just lie and put out misinformation and straight-up lies on your platform.”
Tim Walz’s Controversies
Tim Walz, Hope’s father and the Governor of Minnesota, has faced several controversies including lying about his military rank in a farewell message to soldiers deploying to Iraq and falsely claiming to be an Army combat veteran. He also allegedly had a secret affair with the daughter of a high-ranking Communist official during his time in China.
Moreover, the Harris-Walz campaign was criticized for spreading disinformation, with CNN even fact-checking their social media accounts for misleading content.
Hope’s Critique of Joe Rogan
Hope’s stance against Joe Rogan stems from her belief that he spreads questionable and unprofessional information on his platform. She urged other women to steer clear of men who follow Joe Rogan on Instagram, citing it as a red flag that indicates a misalignment of values.
Despite facing some setbacks in relationships due to this litmus test, Hope emphasized its effectiveness in filtering out undesirable individuals.

Walz: A litmus test for me and my friends for like years now has been if the guy we’re talking to follows Joe Rogan on Instagram, they’re a red flag, and we should probably stop talking to them. And the times when they do follow him on Instagram, and we haven’t stopped talking to them, which was in the past, obviously, it’s never ended well. So yeah, I just want to say that I stand by that.
It’s literally never failed us and, at this point, it’s like the first thing we do when someone starts talking to a new person. If they follow him [Rogan], we’re like, yeah, this person probably isn’t a great person, and probably our values don’t align. So, we’re gonna move on from that, and honestly, it’s worked out well for all of us.
Like, obviously there’s been some heartbreak in there because of it, or at least some disappointment, but it truly is a litmus test. And I got you, ladies, you should start doing it. But yeah, I very much stand by that. He’s questionable and unprofessional, in my opinion. Oops, I don’t know how you have the largest podcast in the world and are able to just lie and put out misinformation and straight-up lies on your platform.
