Carrie Underwood is preparing to sing at President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

Throughout her two-decade career, the “All-American Girl” singer has mostly refrained from sharing her political views.

However, she expressed her love for the United States by agreeing to perform at the historic event.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement. She will be joined by the Armed Forces Choir and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

“I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

The Oklahoma native captured hearts on “American Idol” in 2005.

Following her win, Underwood achieved success with hits like “Jesus, Take The Wheel” and “Before He Cheats” from her debut album, as well as “Some Hearts,” which became the best-selling debut album by a solo female country artist.

She released eight more studio albums, including “Carnival Ride” (2007), “Play On” (2009), “Blown Away” (2012), and more.

As one of the most influential country singers, the eight-time Grammy Award-winner has faced criticism in her personal and professional life.

“The role-model word is really scary to me because no matter what happens in your life, something you do, wear, say, sing, whatever — somebody somewhere is probably not going to like it

“While I have to show my support for her, it doesn’t mean I am particularly interested in watching. I won’t be tuning in. But that’s just me.”

With 2025 well underway, Underwood is looking forward to a significant moment as she prepares to serve as a judge on the upcoming season of “American Idol.”

“I went from being unknown to having tens of millions of people watching the show,” she shared in a video announcing her new role last year.

“I take pride in everything I achieved on the show, and I am equally proud of all my accomplishments since then.”
