Jenna Ortega, the 22-year-old actress, recently made a fashion statement at the premiere of “Hurry Up Tomorrow” in New York City. Her outfit, a newspaper-inspired dress, drew inspiration from the iconic style of Carrie Bradshaw, the forever It Girl of New York City.

The dress, originally designed by John Galliano for Dior in 2000, features a cowl neckline, a fitted bodice, gold chain straps, and a high-low skirt adorned with newspaper clippings and Christian Dior’s name. Ortega paired the dress with gold Jimmy Choo sandals, a Dior coin necklace, nude nails, and gold rings, creating a chic and sophisticated look.

For her makeup, Ortega opted for a glamorous look with sparkly eyeshadow, black eyeliner, blushed cheeks, bronzed complexion, pink lips, and perfectly manicured eyebrows. Her brunette hair was styled in a sleek and bouncy blowout, completing her red carpet look.

Interestingly, Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker, had previously worn the same dress in 2009 during the filming of “Sex and The City 2.” She accessorized the outfit with a silver clove necklace, a fringe-adorned clutch, and lace-embellished peep-toe pumps, showcasing her iconic style.

The dress worn by Carrie was later auctioned in June 2024, fetching an impressive $80,000. It is evident that Carrie Bradshaw’s fashion influence continues to resonate in the industry, with other celebrities like Emily Ratajkowski and Ashley Graham also embracing similar newspaper-inspired dresses.

Overall, Jenna Ortega’s homage to Carrie Bradshaw’s style at the premiere highlights the timeless appeal of iconic fashion moments and the lasting impact of influential fashion icons like the beloved character from “Sex and the City.”
