Busfield’s Legal Victory with Audio Evidence in Abuse Case

Timothy Busfield, director of The Cleaning Lady, believed he had scored a significant legal victory when his defense team submitted audio evidence of the first interview conducted with two preteen boys in November 2024.

The boys were questioned about Busfield’s behavior on set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the show is filmed.

“So, you know the difference between right and wrong, right? You know that no one should touch your private areas?” an officer asked the twins, to which they responded affirmatively.

“Yeah, but he has never touched those parts,” one of the children told the officer, while the other added, “No, he has never touched me, never.”

However, one of the boys later disclosed to a therapist that Busfield had touched his “genitalia” and “bottom.” The incident was reported to child protective services by their mother in 2025.

Busfield has vehemently denied the allegations made against him.
