Voice actor Jonathan Joss, best known for his role as John Redcorn on the animated series “King of the Hill,” tragically lost his life in a shocking incident in Texas. The 59-year-old actor was shot to death by his neighbor, Sigfredo Alvarez-Cegasay, during a heated altercation. The killer fled the scene in a car but was swiftly apprehended by police in the same neighborhood.

Authorities reported that Alvarez-Cegasay shot Joss multiple times before fleeing, leading to a swift arrest. The suspect was charged with murder, and his bond was set at $200K. Despite the efforts of paramedics at the scene, Joss could not be saved.

Joss, who also appeared in NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” as Chief Hatote, a character with Native American heritage, was mourned by fans and colleagues alike. The news of his untimely death left many in shock, with one fan expressing disbelief, saying, “This is just horrible. I can’t believe it.” Another fan lamented, “Damn, I heard rumors but I was hoping it wasn’t true. RIP.”

The tragic loss of Joss adds to a string of deaths among the cast of “King of the Hill.” Less than two years ago, Johnny Hardwick, who portrayed Dale Gribble on the show, passed away under mysterious circumstances. Authorities found him in a bathtub with the drain open, and the cause of death was inconclusive due to the advanced state of decomposition.

The series has also seen the loss of other cast members over the years, including Brittany Murphy, who played Luanne Platter, and Tom Petty, who portrayed Lucky Kleinschmidt. Murphy’s death in 2009 was attributed to pneumonia and drug intoxication, while Petty succumbed to an accidental drug overdose in 2017.

The legacy of “King of the Hill” is marred by these tragic losses, as fans and colleagues mourn the untimely deaths of beloved cast members. Despite the show’s revival on Hulu, the shadow of these tragedies looms large over the beloved animated series.
