The ongoing saga between Trump and Musk is heating up, prompting White House aides to consider the revival of investigations that the Biden administration previously initiated against Musk.

According to Rolling Stone:

Recently, two former Trump administration officials disclosed to Rolling Stone that the government may indeed consider revisiting investigations into Musk’s corporate ventures—investigations that originated during the Biden presidency. Musk, in no uncertain terms, had expressed a desire for a second Trump administration to dismantle these probes, contingent on his support for Trump’s election.

“THIS ADMINISTRATION COULD ALWAYS START THE INVESTIGATIONS AGAIN,” one senior Trump aide emphasized in all capital letters.

Sources close to the situation indicate that Trump’s team is already reaching out to key allies of both Trump and Musk, urging them to choose sides and suggesting that this decision will be the simplest they’ll ever make.

It appears Musk has ruffled feathers among some of Trump’s former White House associates, and now, with the rift evident, these individuals are eyeing Musk for potential retribution.

The crux of the matter lies in Musk’s tenure as a “special government employee,” during which he significantly intertwined his businesses with government contracts. Should investigations resurface, it raises the question: has Trump inadvertently made the U.S. vulnerable to backlash from the world’s wealthiest individual?

This may reveal that Biden’s initial instincts were correct, as the Trump administration seems poised to follow a path reminiscent of Biden’s policies after years of dismissive claims about Biden’s leadership and mental acuity.

One cannot help but ponder how the United States could have sidestepped this convoluted situation altogether had voters opted for a Democrat in the White House, thus sending the Trump/Musk performance art packing.
