The Minnesota Street Project Foundation is proud to announce the return of the San Francisco Art Book Fair (SFABF) for its third consecutive year. Scheduled to take place from July 10–13, 2025, in the vibrant Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, this highly anticipated event celebrates art publishing and print culture. The SFABF brings together independent publishers, artists, designers, collectors, and enthusiasts from all corners of the globe, making it one of the Bay Area’s largest and most captivating arts events.
At SFABF25, attendees can expect to encounter over 150 independent exhibitors, including 30 international participants from countries such as Australia, Indonesia, Japan, and Nicaragua. The fair will showcase a diverse array of printed materials, ranging from artists’ books and zines to monographs, art catalogues, and periodicals.
This year, the Minnesota Street Project Foundation is expanding SFABF programming to offer even more excitement and engagement. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Screening Gallery and Exhibition Warehouse at 1201 Minnesota Street, where they can immerse themselves in new and exclusive programs. Highlights include the West Coast debut of the 2024 Paris Photo – Aperture PhotoBook Awards and a series of curated screening programs by San Francisco Cinematheque.
In addition to browsing the exhibitor booths, SFABF25 attendees can look forward to book launches, signings, and special projects curated by David Senior, Director of Library at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). These events will be presented in collaboration with local arts organizations such as Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture, Letterform Archive, San Francisco Center for the Book, / (Slash), the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts, and more.
For those looking to support the independent arts community, SFABF fundraiser editions by two Bay Area artists will be available for purchase. These include a screen print by Sarah Hotchkiss in collaboration with Poppy Press, as well as a limited number of unique multiples by Sean McFarland in partnership with Lightsource SF.
