CBS’ “Big Brother” Sees Double-Digit Ratings Growth in Season of Mystery

The latest season of CBS’ hit reality show, “Big Brother,” has kicked off with a bang, drawing in impressive ratings and capturing the attention of viewers across platforms. According to the network, the show’s premiere week, which aired on July 10 and July 13, saw an average of 4.9 million viewers in live+7 multiplatform viewership, marking an 11% increase from the previous summer’s premiere week.

Streaming on Paramount+, the series has also seen a 9% year-over-year increase in viewership. Over the first two weeks of the season, which included episodes on July 10, July 13, July 16, July 17, and July 20, the show has maintained a season-to-date multiplatform average of 4.8 million viewers, up 9% from the same period last year.

With nearly 26 million unique viewers tuning in across both CBS and Paramount+, “Big Brother” Season 27 has solidified its position as a must-watch program. On Paramount+, the show has claimed the title of the platform’s No. 1 unscripted program and the No. 7 program overall in terms of reach and total time spent.

Hosted by Julie Chen Moonves, “Big Brother” airs 90-minute episodes on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET and hour-long episodes on Thursdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can also catch the live feeds on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

The current season of “Big Brother” promises excitement and intrigue, with 16 new houseguests and a mysterious player entering Hotel Mystère on July 10. The diverse cast includes a professional bull rider, event curator, marketing manager, AI consultant, aura painter, attorney, and a dungeon master, among others. As twists and turns unfold, the houseguests navigate a summer where nothing is as it seems, and hidden agendas lurk around every corner. Season 13 winner Rachel Reilly has been revealed as the mystery guest.
