President Trump Mobilizes 120 FBI Agents to Combat Crime in Washington, D.C.

In a bold move, President Donald Trump has sanctioned the deployment of 120 FBI agents to assist local law enforcement in tackling crime in the nation’s capital. This decision is part of Trump’s broader pledge to transform Washington, D.C. into “one of the safest cities in America.”

This unprecedented initiative comes as public safety concerns escalate, reflecting the frustrations of residents and tourists alike who have faced growing threats amid what many deem insufficient policies from previous administrations.

According to a report by The Washington Post, the agents—primarily sourced from the Washington Field Office’s counterintelligence and public corruption divisions—will be reassigned to overnight patrols alongside D.C. police officers. This deployment is a piece of a larger federal strategy, with reports indicating that nearly 450 federal officers from various agencies, including the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Marshals Service, and the Park Police, are now active throughout the district.

Trump Says Homeless Need to Move Out of DC IMMEDIATELY, but Criminals Don’t Have to Because ‘We’re Going to Put You in Jail Where You Belong’

This surge in federal presence follows a recent assault on a former White House aide and aligns with Trump’s establishment of the “D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force” in March. This task force aims to enforce quality-of-life laws, clear homeless encampments on federal land, enhance police recruitment efforts, and restore the city’s public spaces and monuments.

In a somewhat controversial statement, President Trump declared that the homeless population must vacate D.C. immediately, while criminals would remain because “we’re going to put you in jail.” He assured that shelter would be provided for the homeless but specified that it would be “far from the Capital.”

Trump stated, “We’re having a News Conference tomorrow in the White House. I’m going to make our Capital safer and more beautiful than it ever was before. The Homeless have to move out, IMMEDIATELY. We will give you places to stay, but FAR from the Capital.”

“As for the criminals, you don’t have to move out,” he continued. “We’re going to put you in jail where you belong. It’s all going to happen very fast, just like the Border. We went from millions pouring in to ZERO in the last few months. This will be easier — Be prepared! There will be no ‘MR. NICE GUY.’ We want our Capital BACK. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

On Saturday, Trump announced that a press conference would be conducted the following Monday to address these issues. The president has previously contemplated a federal takeover of D.C., a move that would necessitate congressional approval, particularly given the city’s long history of grappling with violent crime.
