On September 21st, WrestlePro hosted the Killer Smokeshow event at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey. Kross, aided by Scarlett at ringside, faced Richard Holliday in a thrilling No-Disqualification match, where he emerged victorious thanks to the assistance of his former allies, The Righteous. This faction had previously been part of AEW until earlier this year.

In a dramatic turn of events, Kross shook hands with Dutch and Vincent, officially aligning with them after hinting at this union for several months. In light of Kross’ impactful return to the independent circuit, wrestling veteran Vince Russo speculated that WWE may have found a replacement for him in Bo Dallas. Russo noted that Dallas appears to be filling a similar role that Kross occupied during his tenure with the company.

Dallas has been creating tension within The Street Profits through his mind games during segments on SmackDown, drawing parallels to Kross’s previous storylines. Russo critiqued WWE’s approach, suggesting they are repeating past patterns that lead nowhere.

“It is crystal clear if you’re watching what I’m watching; they put Bo Dallas in the Karrion Kross role. Kross was doing the same exact thing that went nowhere, by the way. They’re doing the same exact thing with Bo Dallas. Same exact thing that Karrion Kross was doing. Same thing,” Russo said.
