President Biden recently celebrated a decrease in reported serious violent crime in 2024, citing preliminary FBI data. However, there are concerns that the FBI may be manipulating these numbers, similar to the way the Bureau of Labor Statistics exaggerated job creation figures during the Biden-Harris administration.

The FBI recently revised its 2022 data, revealing that violent crime actually increased by 4.5% instead of the previously reported 2.1% decrease. This discrepancy resulted in a net increase of 80,029 violent crimes, including murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults.

Despite the media’s past claims that the U.S. crime rate was declining, the updated FBI data tells a different story. The Department of Justice’s National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) reported a 4.1% increase in violent crime victimization from 2022 to 2023, contradicting the FBI’s claims of a 3.5% decrease.

When comparing total violent crime rates, the NCVS shows a staggering 55.4% increase during the Biden-Harris administration, with significant rises in rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults. These numbers are the largest percentage increases recorded over a three-year period.

While murder rates have declined in recent years, they still exceed pre-COVID levels by 9.6%. The media’s handling of these statistics has been criticized, with many outlets dismissing or downplaying the significance of the NCVS data.

Former President Donald Trump has pointed out the significant increase in violent crime during the current administration, noting that many police departments no longer report their data to the FBI. This lack of comprehensive data collection raises concerns about the accuracy of reported crime rates.

Despite attempts to discredit these findings, Americans across the country are witnessing the effects of rising crime firsthand. From increased security measures in stores to reports of assaults in public spaces, the impact of escalating crime rates is palpable.

In conclusion, the discrepancies between reported crime rates and victimization data highlight the need for a more thorough and transparent approach to addressing crime trends. It is essential to acknowledge the reality of rising crime rates and work towards effective solutions to ensure the safety and security of all communities.
