The recent presentation of the Human Capital and Social Impact Award showcased the remarkable achievements of Saheli Women, a non-profit social enterprise initiated by Madhu Vaishnav in Bhikamkor, Rajasthan. This organization is dedicated to empowering local women by offering skills development, fair wages, health insurance, and a secure working environment. Currently, Saheli Women supports over 100 artisans across two centers and collaborates with over 60 fashion brands globally. âThe Human Capital and Social Impact Award highlights individuals and organizations that view people as integral to their strategy, using fashion as a vehicle for positive change,â stated awards host Shailene Woodley, a prominent American actress.
Reflecting on her honor at the event, Vaishnav expressed, âI am deeply honored to stand here tonight among a community of artists, creators, innovators, and dreamers. However, I also carry the weight of upholding the incredible legacy trusted to us by Giorgio Armani. We gather tonight unified by one conviction: when fashion takes on responsibility, it possesses the potential to inspire meaningful change.â
