Twitch and Kick streamer Zack “Asmongold” recently stirred controversy with his comments about “fat people” during a livestream on February 6, 2026. In a 40-second clip that surfaced on X and Reddit, Asmongold discussed the characters in Sony Interactive Entertainment’s new live-service game, Horizon Hunters Gathering.
The former OTK member expressed his opinion that the “only time a fat chick makes sense is if she’s the villain like Ursula in The Little Mermaid.” He further elaborated by stating, “On fat people trying to look less fat. That’s it. ‘Roadhog is the only good one.’ Especially if it’s a fat chick. Like, a fat guy can be funny. A fat chick? The only time that a fat chick makes sense is if she’s the villain. Like Ursula in The Little Mermaid. Nobody wants to look at a fat person. Not even fat people do. That’s why they edit their photos. If I ever see a fat person in a video game, I think to myself, especially if it’s a fat chick, ‘This game isn’t probably made for me.'”
Asmongold also shared his thoughts on the “fat acceptance movement” in a post on X, where he wrote, “The fat acceptance movement is a psyop invented by fat women to guilt men into being attracted to them.”
During the same livestream, Asmongold reacted to the trailer for Horizon Hunters Gathering and compared it to Sony’s now-defunct live-service game, Concord. He expressed his disbelief at the character designs in the game, stating, “It’s Concord. Yeah, it’s Concord. Nobody wants to look like this. People already look like this in real life. Yeah, this is bad. Right? So, it’s Horizon. Is there any gameplay or not? Oh, no! Is this a game or an ICE protest? Oh, my god! Why does anybody want this? Oh, no! Who is this for? Oh, my god! Wait, wait, does she not have a leg? Of course! She doesn’t have. Oh, my god, bro! You’re just trying to check all the boxes. Wow!”
