Last weekend at Dynasty 2026, a popular AEW wrestler achieved a significant milestone by winning his first singles title in All Elite Wrestling. Kevin Knight, the wrestler in question, shared his thoughts on this victory backstage and outlined his future goals.
Just a day after losing the AEW World Trios Championships to The Dogs alongside teammates Mike Bailey and Mistico on Collision, Knight participated in a Casino Gauntlet Match at Dynasty 2026. This match aimed to determine the new holder of the vacant TNT Title. Known as “The Jet,” Knight secured the championship at the pay-per-view event by executing a UFO Splash on Daniel Garcia and Speedball, ultimately pinning The Red Death to claim victory.
Later, in a backstage digital exclusive uploaded by AEW on its X/Twitter profile, cameras captured Knight reflecting on his tumultuous year. He discussed winning and losing the trios titles twice and finally achieving his first singles title in AEW at Dynasty, solidifying himself as the new face of TNT.
“What’s going through my mind is, I deserve it. The Jet deserves this opportunity to showcase not only who I am, but represent the TNT brand, because this year has been a roller coaster. Winning the belts, winning those trios titles two times, losing them last night, and I came back today, came out on top. I beat Mr. Such and So, Mr. What’s His Name, and The Jet came out on top, and I am the J-E-T, the face of TNT. That sounds so good, doesn’t it?”
Following the match, Bailey approached Knight, reaffirming their shared ambition to win every title in the company, signaling a reconciliation after the Casino Gauntlet outcome. Knight hinted at a potential TNT Title defense against Speedball, acknowledged their shared successes, and sent a message to Kyle Fletcher, the former TNT Champion who vacated the title due to injury.
“Again, we turning dreams into reality over here at AEW, and with a whole lot of hard work, dedication and swag, The Jet is gonna do that. And Kyle, I know you back home. Rest up, get better, but in the meantime and the between time, sit back and enjoy the view. And give all praise to the one you look up to- The Jet.”
Kevin Knight is set for his first title defense on AEW Dynamite
