Kate Chastain from Below Deck recently opened up about her friendship with Captain Lee Rosbach and how they have drifted apart over time. The 42-year-old reality star shared with Us Weekly at BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas that their busy schedules and lack of common ground have led to a distance in their relationship.

Kate explained that their close bond was mainly due to working together on boats, but since they no longer have that shared experience, their communication has dwindled. Despite this, she expressed her happiness for both herself and Captain Lee, acknowledging that sometimes people grow apart.

In a previous interview with Us Weekly, Kate mentioned that moving away from Fort Lauderdale and no longer working together on boats contributed to the fading of their friendship. She emphasized that Captain Lee was a significant part of her life, but they have lost touch. However, she still wishes him well in his endeavors.

Kate and Captain Lee had a strong working relationship on Below Deck, with Kate serving as the chief stew while Captain Lee was the captain. Their dynamic was a key aspect of the show until Kate left in 2020 and Captain Lee departed three years later.

Despite their distance, Kate and Captain Lee reunited for a short-lived show called Couch Talk With Captain Lee and Kate in 2023. Following Captain Lee’s departure from Below Deck, Captain Kerry Titheradge took over as the new captain, with Captain Sandy Yawn briefly filling in during Lee’s health struggles.

Speaking of Captain Sandy, Kate showed her support for the talented captain after Lee criticized her handling of the boat in his absence. Kate praised Sandy’s skills and professionalism, stating that she drives the boat better than any other captain in the Below Deck franchise.

In a heartwarming gesture, Kate attended Captain Sandy’s wedding to Leah Shafer in 2024 and expressed her desire to work with Sandy on screen in the future. Despite the ups and downs of reality TV drama, Kate values her friendships and remains neutral in conflicts, choosing not to take sides.

While Kate may not be as close to Captain Lee as before, she relished the opportunity to reconnect with other Below Deck stars and Bravo reality personalities at events like BravoCon. As she navigates the challenges of motherhood with her toddler Sullivan, Kate looks forward to new adventures and experiences, including the upcoming potty training phase.

Overall, Kate Chastain’s journey post-Below Deck is a testament to the evolution of relationships and the importance of cherishing memories while embracing new beginnings. In today’s fast-paced world, it can be challenging to keep up with the latest news and information. That’s where artificial intelligence comes in. AI is revolutionizing the way we consume and interact with content, making it easier than ever to stay informed and engaged.

One of the key ways AI is changing the media landscape is through personalized content recommendations. By analyzing your browsing history, social media activity, and preferences, AI algorithms can tailor content specifically to your interests. This means you’re more likely to see articles, videos, and news stories that are relevant to you, saving you time and effort searching for them yourself.

AI is also being used to enhance storytelling and journalism. From automated news writing to interactive storytelling experiences, AI is helping media outlets produce high-quality content at a faster pace. For example, news organizations can use AI to generate real-time updates on breaking news events, providing readers with the latest information as it happens.

Additionally, AI is improving the way we consume and engage with content. Voice assistants like Siri and Alexa can read news articles aloud, making it easier for people with visual impairments to access information. AI-powered chatbots can also provide personalized recommendations and answer questions in real-time, creating a more interactive and engaging experience for users.

Despite its many benefits, AI in media also raises concerns about privacy and bias. Some worry that AI algorithms may not always be transparent or fair in their recommendations, potentially leading to the spread of misinformation or the reinforcement of existing biases. It’s important for media organizations to be transparent about how they use AI and to ensure that their algorithms are free from bias.

Overall, AI is transforming the media industry in exciting ways, from personalized content recommendations to automated news writing. By harnessing the power of AI, media organizations can provide readers with a more engaging and informative experience, helping them stay informed and connected in today’s digital age.
