Beta Film’s popular British series “Patience” has achieved significant international success, with the show being sold to over 100 territories worldwide. The show has been picked up by various networks across the globe, including AMC Networks for Latin America, ABC for Australia, and BBC Brit for Africa. In Europe, RAI acquired the rights for Italy, ProSiebenSat.1 for Germany, VRT for Belgium, TET for Latvia, and Telia for Estonia. The series has also found a home in Asia with NOW TV in Hong Kong, NHK in Japan, and Ajara TV in Georgia.

Produced by Eagle Eye Drama in partnership with Beta Film, “Patience” Season 2 has continued to captivate audiences. The show has become a standout hit for Channel 4, with the first episode drawing in a 4.2 million audience and streaming viewing minutes increasing by 38% year on year. In the U.S., “Patience” was also a top series on PBS’s digital platforms in 2025.

Set in the historic city of York, “Patience” Season 2 follows the story of young police archivist Patience Evans, portrayed by Ella Maisy Purvis, as she teams up with new lead Detective Frankie Monroe, played by Jessica Hynes. The dynamic between Patience and Frankie brings a fresh perspective to the show, with tensions rising as they tackle a series of complex crimes.

With a third season recently greenlit, “Patience” is set to begin filming in Belgium and York this spring. The returning cast includes Ella Maisy Purvis, Jessica Hynes, Nathan Welsh, Mark Benton, Adrian Rawlins, Tom Lewis, Ali Ariaie, and Liza Sadovy. The series will be directed by Maarten Moerkerke and Jan Matthys, with Matt Baker, Amy Shindler, and Beth Chalmers serving as lead writers.
