Blake Lively Facing Backlash for Sending Subpoenas to Content Creators

In a shocking turn of events, YouTubers such as Kjersti Flaa, Lauren Neidigh from The Court of Random Opinion, Katie Paulson from Without a Crystal Ball, and Ashley Briana Eve have all come forward to speak out against Blake Lively’s recent actions. The content creators have labeled Lively’s actions as “harassment,” sparking outrage within the online community.

Flaawsome Talk YouTuber and celebrity interviewer Kjersti Flaa was among the first to raise concerns about Lively’s behavior. On July 11, Flaa took to Instagram to share a copy of the subpoena she received from Lively’s lawyer, Ezra Hudson. The subpoena notified Flaa that her Google account was being requested for information related to the federal case Blake Lively v. Wayfarer Studios.

The email served as a “notice” to Flaa, indicating that Google may produce the information unless she submitted a time-stamped copy of a motion to quash to Lively’s legal team by July 31. Flaa expressed her dismay in the caption of her post, stating, “As a journalist, this is a direct attack on my privacy, my sources, and my First Amendment rights. This kind of legal fishing expedition is not just invasive – it’s dangerous.”

The controversy surrounding Lively’s actions stems from rumors of the actress being a mean girl, which gained traction following the release of the book “It Ends With Us.” In a 2016 video, Flaa congratulated Lively on her pregnancy, to which the actress responded with snark, “Congratulations on your little bump,” despite Flaa not being pregnant herself.

The content creators affected by Lively’s subpoenas have banded together to denounce her actions and raise awareness about the potential implications for online journalists and influencers. The online community is closely following developments in the case and eagerly awaiting further updates.

As the story continues to unfold, it serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting privacy and upholding the principles of freedom of speech in the digital age. It remains to be seen how Lively will respond to the backlash and whether she will reconsider her approach towards content creators moving forward.
