In a devastating turn of events, two individuals were fatally shot near the FBIās Washington Field office on Wednesday night.
The incident unfolded shortly after 9 PM on the 300 block of F St NW. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the victims were staff members of the Israeli embassy, targeted in what authorities are treating as a suspected terror attack.
Witnesses reported that the assailant shouted āFree Palestineā prior to the shooting. The suspect is described as a white male sporting a goatee, dressed in a blue jacket and blue jeans.
According to Fox 5 DC, the American Jewish Committee was hosting an event at the Capital Jewish Museum at the time of the shooting, which added a layer of chilling context to the violence.

D.C. police are investigating the double shooting that left a man and a woman dead near the FBI office on Wednesday night.
What we know: The shooting occurred around 9:15 PM in the vicinity of an FBI office at the 300 block of F Street, NW. Upon arrival, officers discovered both victims suffering from gunshot wounds, unresponsive and not breathing. Homicide detectives have been summoned, and both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
